Also on Twitter, Musk also sought to dispel reports that the Model X electric luxury crossover, Tesla’s latest vehicle, could be overly pricey. He says the Model X will be priced $5,000 more than the current Model S sedan “due to greater size and body complexity.”

Musk says the Model X “Signature Series,” the first version being offered to those who placed early reservations, is priced high because it’s loaded with all the options. Reports put the price at $132,000, making the crossover with its distinctive “falcon doors” over the second row one of the pricest crossovers out there.
