Audi has announced the price tag of its first entry into the electric cars market , the EV is to start at $37,900 and plans are to be in Showrooms this coming October, 2015.
Audi’s new electric car “Audi A3 e-tron” is a plug-in compact five-door hybrid equipped with 1.4-liter TFSI four-cylinder engine fitted with electric motor that offers 204 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque.
It’s A3 e-tron electric car will come with a 8.8-kWh lithium-ion battery. Using a conventional 120-volt household outlet it takes eight hours for full charge.
Audi’s A3-etron mileage is expected to be between 16 and 19 miles under full charge condition.
